Mentor制度 

Mentor制度は、Candidateの皆さんがCFA資格の取得というゴール達成に向けてCFA Charterholderが試験準備(問題自体の質問は除く)などについて、メールや電話(主にメール)で相談にのる制度です。なお、お申し込み対象者は、各レベルのCandidateで、 Candidate member(受験者会員)などMember限定とします。 詳細は、info@cfaj.org までお問い合わせください。

 ‭(Hidden)‬ CFA Exam Study Group(for Level1, Dec 2009 Exam)

The CFA Society of Japan (CFA Japan) is pleased to announce the launch of new study group of Level 1 June exam 2010  We will form groups of 5 to 10 people considering your preference.  If interested, please send us the following information to info@cfaj.org no later than January 21st.   

1) Full name 
2) Email address & contact number 
3) Native language 
4Language of preference (English speaking group or Japanese speaking group
5) Whether you are willing to be a group leader

Group leaders will be asked to take a little more responsibility in organizing the meeting schedule, meeting locations, and making the initial contact with each member.

Please note that we will NOT accept any registrations after January 28th.

The kick-off meeting will be organized by CFA Society of Japan as follows:

Date:  February 3rd(Wed), 2009
Time: 19:00-
Place: Grand Central (03-5255-1488), 1F Urbannet Otemachi, 2-2-2 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku
 
 

We will also invite CFA charter holder who has recently passed the CFA Exam for you to talk about his experience.

In this gathering, each group will discuss their specific study method, schedule, locations, and materials. After this meeting, each group leader will organize the next meeting and directly contact each member.  We encourage candidates to join study groups since it might not only increase your chance of passing the exam, but also allows you the opportunity to network with other investment professionals within the industry.

 ‭(Hidden)‬ USC/CFALA CFA® Review Program

We are pleased to offer USC/CFALA CFA Review Program by streaming media recording for Level 1,2 and 3. For over 25 years the CFA Society of Los Angeles (CFALA) in partnership with the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business (USC) has offered southern California candidates a “live” CFA® Review Program for each level of the CFA Study and Examination Program.  

 

About Our Streaming Media Program

The USC/CFALA CFA Review Program features state-of-the-art streaming media recordings of structured classroom-based instruction by practitioners in the financial industry and academics from local Universities. Instruction is focused on the comprehension of the assigned materials in the Study Guides with an emphasis on the Learning Outcome Statements.

 

The program includes secure access to streaming media recordings of all study sessions. Level I recordings offer over 60 hours of instruction with bonus classes in study/test taking tips, Accounting Essentials, an Accounting Review and Quant Review. Level II offers over 50 hours of instruction and Level III offers over 34 hours. PDFs of each instructor’s PowerPoint presentation are included as well as a hard copy of a full-length practice exam from the Boston Security Analysts Society. 

  

 

Technical Requirements

Any PC or Mac capable of meeting the following minimum software and hardware requirements.

          Broadband Internet Connection (256 kbps & above) for live and on-demand presentations

          Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista

          Windows Media Player version 9.0 or later

          One of the following browsers:

         IE, version 6.0 SP1 or later

         Firefox 2.0 or later

 

Macintosh Software

          Mac OS X, version 10.4.8 or later

          One of the following browsers:

         Firefox, version 2.0 or later

   Safari, version 2.0.4 or later  

Macintosh Compatibility with Video Lectures:Attention Macintosh Users: Students who choose to use Firefox 3.0 or neweron Mac OS X must upgrade Silverlight to version 2.0. (Safari continues to work on Silverlight 1.0.) The USC/CFALA CFA Review Streaming Media Program does not provide 24/7 tech support.  The majority of candidates have no problem accessing the streaming media.  Any issues are usually resolved with minor security adjustments in their browsers.  Our tech support is minimal, and all inquiries must be directed to the CFALA Admin offices 213-341-1164 x701 or cfareview@cfala.org.

Spring 2010 Program:

Level I – Wednesday, January 13, 2010   6:30pm – 9:30pm P ST(approximately 25 classed prior to the exam, 1 stdudy session per class- includes level I bonus classes) Schedule available here.

Level II - Saturday, January 23, 2010 9:00am - 4:00pm PST (approximately 9 Saturdays prior to the exam, 2 study sessions per Saturday are covered) Schedule available here

 

Level III - Saturday, January 23, 2010 9:00am - 11:00am and 11:30am - 1:30pm PST (approximately 9 Saturadays prior to the exam, 2 study sessions per Saturdays are covered) Schedule available here

 

Barring technical difficulties, links to the streaming media will be posted on the CFALA website within 48 hours (Pacific Standard Time) after the scheduled class has been taught.

※USC/CFALA CFA Review Program instructors and coordinators are available via email to answer any questions.

 

Recorded classes will be maintained on the USC/CFALA CFA Review Program website until June 7, 2010.

 

Registration Fee:  25,000 yen
