Outline:
After an easy explanation of the latest development situation of the XBRL system and the view in the future (English), participants in this seminar use the latest XBRL system with the guidance of the lecturer. The number of participants is limited to ten persons. Participants are requested to bring their own PC to install XBRL software and use it. Instructions to use PC and software will be given individually in English and Japanese.

For the electronic disclosure of financial information, Japan is now in the third year of using XBRL for financial statements in earnings releases and securities reports. Overseas, U.S. companies started using XBRL for SEC filings in June 2009. But the use of XBRL has been limited because users are waiting for the required software.
For several years, XBRL Japan has been holding seminars for securities analysts to explain how to use XBRL. These seminars provided a means of using the feedback from these users to improve the specifications. Although the use of XBRL is increasing in Japan, there is still a need for use from a global perspective. For example, progress is needed in using XBRL in the U.S. and with IFRS as well as for international comparisons and the use of earnings releases in other countries. We hope that CFA Japan members will use this opportunity to try XBRL and afterward that you will take the time to share your thoughts about this software with us.

このセミナーは最新のＸＢＲＬシステムの開発状況と今後の展望についての簡単な説明（英語）の後に、講師の指導のもと実際に最新のシステムを利用体験していただくものです。参加人数は10名限定です。参加ご希望の方は、各自PCをご持参ください。XBRLソフトウエアをお渡ししますので、各自インストールしてご利用いただきます。体験時の説明は個別になります。英語と日本語を交えてご説明します。

財務情報の電子化において、現在国内では決算短信、有価証券報告書で財務諸表本表のXBRLでの提出が始まり、３年目に入ろうとしています。海外においては、昨年６月より、米国ではSECファイリングでXBRLが用いられるようになりました。 しかし利用者市場では、ユーザーの立場でのソフトウエア発展が待たれるところです。XBRL JAPANでは、ここ数年、アナリストの方向けの利用者セミナーなどを行い、そこで出た意見を 仕様にフィードバックさせるための活動を行なってまいりました。日本での利用は比較的進んでいるとはいえ、米国やIFRSでの適用が進み、国際間の比較や外国からみた決算短信の活用など、グローバルな視点が必要となってきました。今回は、日本CFA協会会員のみなさまに利用を体験していただき、ご意見をお伺いできれば幸いです。
